Silver Rays Initiative for Hope & Community Development (SRIHCD) is a community-based organization established in 2017 and officially registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC/IT/8476141).
We are dedicated to addressing socio-economic and health inequalities through programs that empower individuals, build community resilience, and promote inclusive, stigma-free healthcare.
Partnering with government and community organizations
Empowering vulnerable populations through health and social programs
Advocating for inclusive, evidence-based care for gender and sexual minorities

We provide HIV prevention, testing, care, and treatment services in collaboration with public health facilities to ensure stigma-free service delivery.
Promoting sexual health and wellness through: Comprehensive STI screening and treatment. Safer sex education and commodity distribution. Awareness campaigns for early detection
We address the emotional wellbeing of individuals through: Confidential counseling sessions. Peer-support groups. Referral pathways for specialized care
Our advocacy efforts aim to institutionalize inclusive healthcare through: Stakeholder and policy engagement. Training healthcare providers on non-discriminatory practices. Promoting rights-based health policies
SRIHCD organized a 5-day capacity-building workshop for Primary Health Care Workers in Abia State to strengthen inclusive health practices for LGBTQ+ clients.
In partnership with the Abia State Ministry of Health and ABSACA, SRIHCD led facility visits across Abia to improve service quality and inclusivity in HIV, STI, and mental health care.
Our quarterly team get-together fosters staff motivation, mental wellbeing, and collaboration — ensuring our team remains inspired and united in delivering impact.
From 2018–2024, SRIHCD conducted several outreach programs across Delta, Bayelsa, and Abia States, providing free medical checkups, HIV testing, and eyeglasses to thousands of beneficiaries.
